Competition Livery with Kate or Craig
Kate and Craig compete at a wide range of events around the UK and in Europe. The young horses at Dassett generally move through the ranks in the UK and will contest the BE age and Burghley Young Event Horse classes. Older horses regularly compete in both BE National classes and FEI International one and three-day events. Dassett Event owners enjoy competitions in some of the most stunning and prestigious locations the UK has to offer, from Blair Castle in the Scottish Highlands to Gatcombe Park in the Cotswolds and Blenheim Palace in the Midlands. Such events have extensive hospitality facilities for owners and the Dassett Eventing lorry is always a hive of activity.
Owners are always welcome at our beautiful Warwickshire base, where it is also very rewarding to watch your horse progress behind the scenes.
Both the action at home and competitions can bring enormous enjoyment to everyone involved in our wonderful sport whether you are new to the team or have been involved for some time. There is a range of options to enable you to join in the fun, including buying or leasing a horse either as an individual or as part of a syndicate. Please contact Kate for more details.
Match Making and Sourcing
Over the years we have built up an extensive network of contacts and often hear about horses for sale at all levels before they hit the open market. We can source both horses and owners at all levels and at a wide variety of prices. We will happily arrange trips for you to view and try prospective purchases and will aid in all stages of the purchasing process should you want us to.
Kate and her team have developed great expertise in working with horses at all levels. When space permits, we can help a horse progress in its work or help in a particular area and work on a specific issue through schooling livery.
Working Pupils and Work Placements
Dassett Eventing's base is ideal for taking on enthusiastic people wishing to improve their horsemanship and knowledge of eventing. We have students all year round from two week college placements focussed on stable management, through to students based here for a year with their own horse benefitting from training and competing on the BE and FEI circuits. Dassett Eventing provides a professional, fun and highly educational venue for those who are passionate about the equine industry.
Teaching and Clinics
When time permits, Kate and her team are available for lessons and clinics. These range from single sessions, focussing on one particular phase, to residential clinics which run over several days providing training in all disciplines. Such sessions are tremendous fun, as well as providing a great education for both horse and rider.
