Kate bought Ralph off Eoin Brennan at the end of 2024 as a 4yo, having been produced on the show jumping scene. He is by Wido and out of a Samba / Nordic Brave dam.
Ralph did a lot of growing and changing through his 5yo year. He had some very unlucky results with loose dogs and other incidents totally out of his control! However, he finished the season well and will look to consolidate his BE100 form during the spring of 2026. Ralph work work towards some Novice events this year, and aim for Cornbury 6YO Championships in the autumn.
Ralph is a fairly light weight model, with three fabulous paces. He has an hugely rangy canter stride, but always remains adjustable and is very quick and clever in front of his fences. He is never spooky and always brave, but remains careful in all he does. With some time to mature, we think this horse could go a long way with a professional or an amateur, and is highly likely to be very competitive along the way.
