This tall and powerful horse is by Tolan R and out of a Douglas / Telling Tales dam. He was bought off Richard Sheane as a young 4yo and spent the rest of 2023 gaining experience in Ireland, before moving to DE HQ in January 2024.
Benji will need time to mature and strengthen, as he remains a rather weak frame at the moment, but given this time he looks set to have all the right attributes to be a top class athlete. He is a great mover and despite a big canter, it is balanced and he is a pleasure to ride to a fence. He is a power house off the floor, yet always light and quick with his feet. Benji is a very kind personality, who will undoubtably form a great partnership with his rider.
