This lovely, kind horse was bred at Edentrillick Stud. Here, he was produced in the world of pure show jumping, and competed at the World 5YO Championships at Lanaken with Vincent Byrne. Kate brought Harley shortly after this, in November 2024. He’s by the fabulous and successful stallion I’m Special De Muze, and out of a Numero Uno / Cruising dam.
Kate took her time with Harley in the spring for his 6yo year, as he turned his talents to eventing, but he has cruised up the levels during the summer. He had a brilliant first season eventing, being placed at Novice and Intermediate-Novice level throughout the year and put in a strong performance at Cornbury House YHCCIS2* with a fabulous clear cross country. He finishing his season with a classy double clear and placing at Kronenberg CCIS2*.
Harley is a compact and very attractive model, with an incredible engine. Although he doesn’t have the biggest of trots, he is very rideable and rhythmical, and when he learns to harness all his power, we think the dressage judges will reward his attacking and forward way of going. He has scope to burn and is one of the most reliable horses to jump a clear round over the coloured poles, making his mark on BE’s Eventing Stats for 2025! Has been incredibly brave and straight cross country, taking to it like a true natural; Kate states he is the most straight forward and fun horse she has ever produced across the country! As all of this is combined with his exceptional brain and attitude, we are excited to see what he can achieve over the coming years. Harley has the potential to be competitive at Le Lion 7YO World Championships next season, as well as at Blenheim 8/9YO CCIS4* the following year. Watch this space!
