Working Pupil
Ben started work for Dassett Eventing in the Autumn of 2026 and has already proved himself as a calm, adaptable member of the team.
Ben began riding at Pony Club from a young age, developing his strong foundation for horses. During his teenage years, he took a break from riding to pursue other sporting interests, including cricket and rugby, before returning to horses after school.
He went on to study Agri-Business at Newcastle University, combining his academic interests with his passion for the countryside and equestrianism.
Following University, Ben gained valuable experience working for Zoe Rymer in Yorkshire, who breeds and produces event and dressage horses. This experience gave gave him an insight into early stages of preparing horses for competition whilst continuing to develop his understanding of producing horses based on their individual needs.
Whilst at Dassett Eventing, Ben is focused on developing his riding and producing horses. He is naturally soft and confident on the young horses and we look forward to having Ben as part of the team.
