DE 8/9YO Advanced Class

We were delight to once more put on this wonderful class, show casing some of the country’s best young horses, and the 2019 field did not disappoint! A full break down of the results can be found on our Advanced page.

The whole DE team puts a great deal into the weekend. Sue and Craig did a fabulous job in getting a range of prizes off very generous sponsors. Paul Morgan of PM Equestrian supplied a stunning leather head collar for the highest place Irish horse. Noble Outfitters were beyond generous in sending a wide range of fabulous boot and hat bags, rucksacks and holdalls which gave the top 10 placed riders exciting goodies to take home. Our excellent feed suppliers, Dodson & Horrell, kindly supplied a quality rug along with vouchers. Our local tack shop, Harley Equestrian, put together a brilliant hamper for the third placed rider. And An Eventful Life very kindly donated a cross country video to the highest placed mare. Thank you all so much for your generous support.

Lauren has found herself with another role – the annual DE 8/9yo Advanced fence judge baking! This popular addition to her schedule has resulted in quite a lot of cup cakes, but they are beyond delicious and it’s a great way to thank all the exceptional volunteers each year. We also gave out DE buckets and this year’s give away – hessian bags, along with the standard polos for the horses and sweeties for grooms!

And I must mention Mama Roch and Sheena, who not only put on the standard, amazing BBQ on Friday night, but followed it with a top picnic we all thoroughly enjoyed on the spectators mound watching our class cross country on Saturday lunch time.
